Open FaceTime
Tap FaceTime on the Home Screen.

- Open FaceTime. Tap FaceTime on the Home Screen. FaceTime opens with the New FaceTime button.
- Start a call. Tap New FaceTime. A New FaceTime screen appears with an empty To field.
- Enter the person’s name. Type the person’s name in the To field. A matching contact suggestion appears below the To field.
- Choose the person. Tap the correct contact in the results. The selected contact appears with a green FaceTime button.
- Start the FaceTime call. Check the selected name, then tap the green FaceTime button. The FaceTime call begins with the person you selected.
- Check your picture. Place the phone at eye level and make sure your face is visible. Your camera preview shows your face centered on screen.

Start a call
Tap New FaceTime.
You should now see: A New FaceTime screen appears with an empty To field.

Enter the person’s name
Type the person’s name in the To field.
You should now see: A matching contact suggestion appears below the To field.

Choose the person
Tap the correct contact in the results.
You should now see: The selected contact appears with a green FaceTime button.

Start the FaceTime call
Check the selected name, then tap the green FaceTime button.
