Show written steps
  1. Open General. In Settings, tap General. The General settings open.
  2. Open iPhone Storage. Tap iPhone Storage. The storage summary appears.
  3. Check available space. Read the storage summary. If storage is low, stop here and use Apple’s Manage storage guide in Sources before continuing. The storage summary shows how much space is available.
  4. Open the downloaded update if it appears. If an iOS update appears in the app list, tap that update. If no iOS update appears, skip to step 6. The downloaded-update details open when a file exists; otherwise no iOS update appears in the storage list.
  5. Only if you opened the iOS update: delete it. Tap Delete Update only on the downloaded iOS update details screen. Do not erase the phone or other data. A damaged or incomplete update download is removed without erasing the phone.
  6. Open Software Update again. Return to General, then tap Software Update. The iPhone checks for a fresh update.
  7. Download the update again. Tap Download and Install, then keep power and Wi-Fi connected. The iPhone starts a fresh update download.
My screen looks different
